The story of rapunzel is essentially when pregnant her mother craves rapunzel plant so her husband breaks into this woman's garden to get it for her but he gets caught by the woman who owns the garden and he's all like "my wife is craving this plant so bad if she doesn't get it she will die" (because cravings are life threatening) so he makes a deal to give the old lady their baby when it is born in exchange for the plants to give to his wife. Thought about reading one as a bed time story but they are screwed up. I have a really old readers digest collection of old fairy tales my mother had and passed to me that I now kept for my daughter. ![]()
